Imagine both in their prime.

Chuck Norris. He was like seven time undefeated champion. In his prime he was awesome. When was a kid I got to watch him in the ring once.

Seagal is okay, but he primialry does attacks to the joints and very very striking moves. He might do some good if he go hold of Chuck but I rather doubt it.

In his movies Seagal is normally throwing the bad guys around when they take a swing at him. He seldom iniates the attack but normally somebody has to punch at him or try to grab him before he does some technique. In a few movies he's punched or once or twice he's even kicked. He'd be effective enough against you average Joe on the street but I don't think he'd do well against someone who is highly trained as a stand up fighter.

It depends on if it is a Chuck Norris movie or a Steven Seagal movie.

Unfortunately, Steven Seagal would win. As soon as he opens his mouth, Chuck Norris will die from hearing his stupidities and crock from laughing at hearing Steven's whiny, little girl voice.

Chuck, can then, at least hang out with Bruce Lee with a six pack of Heineken in Zen heaven.

Well, akido is much deadlier than other martial arts, so seagal has the edge there, focus is on bone breaking. Also, supposedly the stunt men in hollywood all say that seagal is the one that could really hurt you if he wanted to..... But my answer as to who would win is,,, Chuck Norris,, because, his bodyguard, Frank Dukes would step in and get it done..lol.. Movie "bloodsport" was based on dukes life.

Many people do not know this about steven segal (especially the guy that just answered the question above) but segal was the first white american to acheive the highest rank in aikido from a japanese master, he is also the first american to own an aikido scholl in japan that was sanctioned by his japanese master. Although Chuck norris was good in his time segal has a much less flashy image and Aikido although without many punches is a very good concept for disabling an oponent I would say segal would win, BUT one can never be too sure

I agree with the previous poster that SS definitely has some skills. Having said that, Chuck did/does train with the Machado brothers, so if it goes to the ground my money would be on Chuck.
