Al Gore is the so-called "champion of the environment" but he leased some of his own property to a strip-mining company mining for zinc. What's up with that?

It's very easy to try to smear someone if you don't bother to get the facts. Modern strip mining (unlike the past) is actually wone of th eLEAST damaging extractive industries. The reason is that now, companies routinely restore the area when they are done--so there is little or know long term negative effect on the environment.

Now, granted, I don't know about this particular situation--but sinceit seems to bug you, why dont you go get the facts before you say anything else.

Not that I'm an Al Gore fan, but he never did claim to have invented the internet. As usual, our supposedly left-wing media decided it was easier to repeat some fantasy of Karl Rove than actually check the facts. Al Gore said he had voted for congressional funds which had assisted in the invention of the internet. Something completely different, but why should we let the truth take the place of a really great story?

Denying global warming is somewhat akin to denying the holocaust. It absolves us of any responsibility for our world. The earth goes through heating & cooling cycles. How much is mankind responsible is not important. How mankind responds to it is.

And the Bush family are the "champions of democracy" yet they will only be remembered as murderers, both state and international. That's what's up with that.

Yes, it's true. The man is a hypocrite, a sore loser, a lunatic and a fat liberal porker.

Anyone who believes his global warming fib after he claimed to have "invented the Internet," needs their head examined.
