I do!
I used to drink and do drugs a lot...if I could have controlled it, I probably still would be (but I'm glad I'm not)...still, I'm jealous of those who can.

I really think it's cool not to. I also think it's very cool that you were able to quit and admit to your weakness. Good luck and God bless you!

I take the unpopular view point, now before i express that view let me start by saying I don't do drugs and i rarely drink at all.

I don't see any problem with people doing whatever makes them happy.

If they want to wake up and down a bottle of jack, start their day with 10 bong hits or do something a lot more severe that's fine with me.

As long as they don't drive under the influence or rob someone to get their fix i really don't care what other people do.

These days it seems to me we ascribe some kind of moral superiority to sobriety that i really think is misplaced, is it so morally superior for someone to be miserable but sober verses a little drunk but happier with their condition?

Are any of us qualified to say that a person's view of what makes them happy is wrong because they would rather be inebriated than sober?

To those last two questions i have to say I believe the answer is NO. To me, do whatever you want, just don't harm anyone.

Its the people you hang around with, if your a punk rocker u'll likely to be exposed to these drugs because you hang around people with no goals in life but to scream ontop of their lungs and cut themselfs for fun. and thinks their parents is evil...

decission is up to u. u have the power to not do anything u don;t want to...
And its kool to be able to make jokes and laugh and drink water and get high on dancing and sociallising activities, then induce a substance to try and archieve the same effect...

anyone who smokes, drinks have problems in life, they do this to get some sastisfaction... they are not happy people...

To each their own.

I drink socially because I enjoy the flavor of certain drinks. I've never done drugs, and I'm not interested. I think life is interesting enough unaltered. But if someone wants to do drugs, that's their thing. Just stay off the roads and don't sell it.

I'm 13 and seeing people around me smoke, use drugs, and drink are making me sick. I know they are throwing their lives away at an early age. I tried to talk to someone I knew once, but they ignored me. It really makes me sad to know my generation is already ruining themselves. If they are high or drunk who is going to help make the world better? Are they just going to be the people I see on the news who get arrested for having drugs growing in their basement?

Or in 3 words:
HUGS NOT DRUGS!

it's cool to do both.

I like the non druggies. bnut that means no drinking or taking medicine like advil everytime you have a little headache.

and I like the people who experiment with drugs. not afraid to expand there mind and test themselves like guinea pigs.

There's a whole movement of people called "Straight Edge" who don't drink or do drugs, as part of the punk rock movement. If you look at people who are high and passed out, you'll see that they just look stupid.

I fully support you this this. Drugs and alcohol are for people who can't support themselves. I'm glad to know your out of that lifestyle. I hope you go on living clean and happy.

I do, because it shows that the person is not just going along with the crowd, they have a certain amount of self-control.
