When anybody in my family uses our small bathroom (the toilet is about 3 feet from the door and it also faces the door) our cat likes to stick his paw under the door and bat around. Every once and a while I'll take some toilet paper off of the roll and throw it towards his paw and he goes absolutely nuts. When I finish my business and open the door he hurries to sit up and pretend like nothing happened.

He doesnt do it to any other room (not even our other bathrooms) and we're really not concerned...I was just wondering if anybody elses cat does this or something like this.

Yes! My kitten 'owns' the guest bathroom maybe because it's in the hallway? I don't know. He never let anyone using it wihout his presence inside! He doesn't go there when noone in it but as soon as we walk in to wash our hand or whatever he will follow and protests if the door is closed, and like your kitty, my cat also stick his paws under the door and bat around but with an addition-- very annoying miauws!

I had a cat years ago that was obsessed with our small bathroom. Every time someone would go in and shut the door she stuck her paws underneath. I used to move the little throw rug around with my feet so she could grab at it under the door, and that became one of her favorite games.

None of my other cats ever did anything like that with the bathroom. And with the cat I have now I can't usually shut the bathroom door all the way, or she'll stand in the hall and cry until I let her in. It's funny when guests use the bathroom. They think they're being attacked because Hobbes will push on the door and howl.

Yes, it's funny I have a cat who is a bathrom freak. Anytime she sees me or somebody else headed torwards the bathroom she runs just to go be in there w/ us. She just likes to sit there & keep us company I guess. And if we don't let her in she will wait outside the door until we come out. She only does that with the bathroom. It's okay though I think they just want attenton.

Yeah my cat does something similar. He usually tries to open the door. He also loves the sound of himself playing in the bathtub. I think it's because it's the only door I close in the house when I am in there, and curiousity gets the best of him!
