Oh I like! Bravo for putting it into perspective. Indeed someone who professes to live by the principles Jesus did should be doing the latter in every case and yet I know self-proclaimed Christians who fight for prayer in schools and won't help the homeless, who fight what they see as immoral, yet wouldn't help an older person across the street, who get mad as hell when Christmas is made all about Santa, but if they saw a druggie would walk to the other side of the street rather than get close enough to help them.
Indeed you have a point there, and one can only hope a few people might take note.

To love is the answer. Love does no harm. Jesus loves everyone and He makes no exception of person, He loves us all the same and He loves the one that "fight for prayer in schools and the one that help feed homeless people." He loves the one that "Fight against gay marriage and the one who spend time with lonely seniors." He loves the one that "Fights for public nativity scenes during xmas time and the one who Helps a druggie get their life back together." He loves the one that "Fights on-line for how great Jesus is and the one who "Befriend a troubled youth before their life turns down a dark, crime-ridden path." To love is what Jesus wants us to do.

Most Christians would fight for what they believe in but would not do what they are supposed to. As the Lord says; judge not and you shall not be judged. Helping homeless people, spending time with seniors and helping
a misguide youth back on track are what Jesus actually
imparted iin his sermons.
Actually, if you have done all the above that you mentioned, you are already a Christian in the true sense of the word as being a christian is not just believing in Christ but to be like him. God bless. I hope you will continue to seek the Truth.

I've never fought against gay marriage or prayer in schools. I'd rather spend time with seniors and feed homeless people. I don't really know anyone who does drugs, honestly, but I'd help them then fight for public nativity scenes.

It depends on who you consider Christians. A person is not Christian just they were born into a Christian family or call themselves Christians. According to me, people who are in forefront and doing all the former things are not Christians while as the real Christians are the ones who nobody hears about but do the latter.

wow i never thought of it that way. in each case the latter is tha path we should, but rarely do follow. if we would help those who actually need our help instead of fighting things that we are not likely to win. maybe we as Christians would be looked at with more respect then we actually receive. thank you for giving me something worth wile to think about. their are so many people out there that need someone to help them. if took the time and money to help instead of Judge maybe we would all be happier.

Most Christians doing all the right things you are suggesting above are not the ones you see and hear about. Like most things, you only see the vocal minority and never never know about all of the Godly Christians who are so busy doing what Jesus wants them to do. However, let me assure you that if all the Christians that everyone so loves to bash on R&S suddenly stopped doing what they do every day, the world would be a darker, hungrier, colder, and more poverty stricken place. BTW, which are you doing?

That is a difficult question, I don't think there is an either or...Most Christians don't do many, if any of those things and that saddens me, because I do as many of them as a 14 year old can...

This is very informative, for a question. Go do good in the world and shut up. A person may be perfectly righteous, even while believing that the world is flat.

I don't know about others but in our Church and our house we do those things, all of them. What, of those things, do YOU do? Any, all or do you just spend your time cutting down others?
