Tell them that if they don't begin to tell the child right and wrong, the child will begin to believe they can always get their way and throw a fit if they don't. They'll also begin to expect others to do everything for them and do anything they want, and when other people don't, the child will run into a lot of social problems from no friends at school to possibly getting in trouble with the law. Also tell them that if they want respect from the child, they have to teach the child to obey both of you, and that there are ground rules for respect and fairness in the house, otherwise there will be havoc. Also, sounding like you have to discipline the child, tell your partner that if you always have to do that, the child will hate you because you'll be percieved as "the villian," and the other parent as someone easy to push around and give them what they want and will be seen as nothing more than a wallet with a driver's license.

First task is to convince ur partner its great need/ seriosness and future draw backs.
Then get advices from the partner how to start disciplining our child and share ur stretagy and advices.
Implement action plan little by little. For this purpose first should stand example of ourselves and narate the examples of persons before child how to disciple work on and gave success them etc.

Sit him down and explain that children that grow up with out consistent discipline most likely turn out to be criminals, or have an EXTREMELY hard time adjusting to the real world when they are adults. Consistent discipline means that they have the same consequence from both parents for the same misdeed.
