Most troops won't care. In fact, I wouldn't want to be in their unit. The popularity would make them (and me) bigger targets for the enemy. Keep the Bush twins at home where they belong. Besides, just because a parent has a child in Iraq doesn't make that parent the subject matter expert on war.

First of all the people in the military simply do not care what President Bush's daughters choose to do with their lives.
Also - we do not need shallow Clinton-style meaningless gestures to convince us of what we are doing in Iraq. We either are, or have been there.
We are the eyewitnesses. We are the people who point out to you that the news you see is negative and misleading.
BTW - for your post I can tell that you have no clue as to what soldiers think.

I tire of the repetition of this "question" here on yahoo. Sure, this one has a different twist on it, but it's stirring up the same idiotic responses...personal attacks on Jenna and Barbara Bush. It's ridiculous. People were in an uproar when personal attacks started in on Chelsea Clinton, as well they should have been. Daughters aren't responsible for actions of their parents, good or bad. Furthermore, Bush was never AWOL from the service. He didn't draft dodge and run away to Canada either. This all touches on Barbara Boxer's implication to Condaleeza Rice that unless you're personally fighting or a family member is that you don't care what happens. Do all the people who gripe and complain about this issue make personal sacrifices in the war? I highly doubt it; however, that doesn't negate their right to have an opinion about it or to sympathize with people who have. The fact that Bush's daughters aren't currently in Iraq doesn't mean that he is heartless. Let's think about the tear rolling shamelessly down his face as he awarded the Medal of Honor to a fallen soldier. I don't believe he is a good enough actor for crocodile tears. I personally haven't made alot of personal sacrifices in this conflict. Neither have most Americans. We haven't been asked to change our daily lives in the slightest as have generations past in previous wars. Yet people continually gripe about this war. Does the fact that you and your children aren't overseas mean that you're not qualified to care or have an opinion about it? I think not. Check out the link and look at the picture. You cannot convince me that my President is an unfeeling man who doesn't truly understand the consequences of the decisions he makes. He also understands that to abandon this war would be disastrous and leave Iraq ripe for the picking by the likes of Iran. Alright. That's said. Now we can move on to other topics.

Only incredibly stupid people could even consider the possibility that the war is for oil or money. Also, the actions of his daughters proves nothing about Bush. It would be their choice to join, not his. Lastly, i'm sick of people talking about the Bush twins enlisting. Nobody cares if they do or dont

So, you are asking him to "send" his daughters to war to make you feel better? First of all (and I won't even go into the issue of someone "making" his daughters join the military), do you really think this would "convince" you of anything, of would you just say "it's all for show"?? Second, unless you got drafted, WTF gives you the right to even question the decision to serve or not to serve in the armed forces of this country?? Someday I would love to see one of you instigators come on here with a real suggestion, instead of babbling and rhetoric about something you read and heard about from someone else!!

How about asking something original. This is a tired subject now. Even the answers are the same same same. Come on genius, you can get a little better with the questions.

Before his daughters could join the army, they 1st would have to attend AA for their, drinking problems, then they would have to pass the asvab, which i doubt they could do, knowing that their dad, barely pass the IQ test.

Of course this is a hypothetical question that I have considered many a times. I think the soldiers would consider it a distraction and care less.
