have microsoft office 2003: student and teacher edition and my friend wants to borrow it so she can download it onto her computer (esp. Powerpoint). Do you think it's a good idea?

Well I think that if you allow your friend to download it to her computer and if she has windows update on then it might be a problem, if it is off then I think it will be not a problem.

No it's not!!! If she needs PowerPoint, she can go to Microsoft Office 2003 updates and download the PowerPoint viewer for free.

Hi there.

Well it all depends on your guilty conscience. Will you feel guilty or feel bad lending out your CD to a friend? Btw, first of all, it's illegal to lend out your CD to your friend for them to install it unto their computers, as it violates the user and licensing agreement. I'd be careful in what I lend out. Besides, when Office is activated, the guys at M$ will find out and may or may not cause you problems. All up to you.

Hope this helps

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks because if you've registered with the license that came with it nobody else will be able to unless they get a different license.

Not the best idea at all. Each copy has to ge registered with microsuck so they could find out that you have allowed your copy to be pirated.

People do it all the time but how would you feel about it? It's all up to you

Most likely it wouldn't be a problem - but if you have concerns or doubts - just tell her no.
