I not only would ask him, I'd ask anyone else who knew him when he was married. This information could be very crucial to your decision on continuing to see him or dropping out of sight.

First, since you have been dating him you'll have some small idea of how will
he react to your question. will he ge offended/feel sad/angered you are the best judge.
But first think, what ever is his answer does it really matter? just think of all possible worst
and best answers you can get from him and think if it will really affect your love on him. If it doesn't then why ask?

of course it is relationships are about knowing each other
and if he dont want u to know then he prob was the one who played up lol or maybe they just grew apart but truth is u will only really know his side and what he tells u what happened

absolutely! and if he doesn't tell you then i would start to wonder why. what doesn't he want you to know? maybe you could drop a hint and see if he tells you without you having to ask.
