Until now I've just used the basic and useless Windows Movie Maker, but want a bigger challenge and possibilities editting movies. Which adobe software is used for movies, and are there any others which people would recommend?

I particularly want to be able to merge clips which the program has split up, and be able to have many audio options available during editting. (I'm pretty PC savvy but not too experienced in editting softwares just yet.)

If you really want to use Adobe as your software then probably, Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 for Windows would be the best. But as my sugestion you should try using Macromedia Studio 8, you will have to buy this software for a very high price (400 US DOLARS) but if you want it for free then send a email to "master_f55@hotmail.com or master_f55@yahoo.com" and i will send it through mail

Adobe video software sucks. Sony has the best video editing software out there, called "Vegas". Go to www.download.com and search "Sony Vegas" and you can download the trial.

I like Serif's MoviePlus X5 (the current version's X6) - very cheap and great value.
