I'm no dental expert, but I had my top two wisdom teeth out a while back. If you are eating solid foods, which I'm sure you are by now... Soda will not do any harm at all. Alcohol would be bad if you are still on pain medication. Drinking soda or alcohol should be fine, but just keep rinsing out that hole where the tooth used to be. If you don't, that's when you'll have problems! Good luck!

After a few days I drank soda... but I waited a couple weeks to drink alcohol, pretty much because I was still on a lot of meds from the wisdom teeth.

Your not supposed to drink any alcohol while your on medication..so if you have pain killers I would wait till ur done....but as for soda, they say you can't drink it till the hole heals....but when iI had my wisdom teeth out...I had some the same day. Just don't swish the drink where your wisdom teeth were and what ever you do....do not use a straw because you can get dry socket which is very painful...

It's been so long ago I can't remember what my dentist told be to do, but I do remember going out for pizza with my parents afterwards. I didn't eat, but I had a glass of Coke. Later on after my parents dropped me off at my place, I had beer(s).
Nothing happened. But it is true you shouldn't drink and take meds. That's the father figure in me now.
Off the question, I bought a water-pic so I could rinse all the food out of the holes that were left. They won't stay that way a long time, but in the meantime, they do get filled up with what you eat. A water-pic is fast and easy, and you don't want to leave anything in there.

Give it at least 3 days. The idea not to suck out the plug made by you body to cover the wound were your teeth once were. Carbonated bevereges and orange juice can irritate the wound. Alcohol can interact with your pain meds, if your still using them. If you are still seeing pink at night don't try it; see your dentist. An uncovered jawbone or "dry socket" can become infected and be serious. Your dentist should have given you instructions about this. If you have forgotten, call his nurse who will gladly update you

You're OK to drink soda. I would wait until you are completely healed before drinking alcohol

It's fine as long as you drink from a cup and not with a straw. Just don't over do it.
