The glue can be easily washed out using a special shampoo/conditioner that will remove the glue without taking the real hair out. Also, people use baby oil or acetone/nail polish remover.

Are they individual extensions or wefts that are glued to your hair? If they are the individually bonded strands you can use acetone nail polish remover and it will break down the glue enough for you to slide them off. If you had them done professionally, go back to who did them so that you have minimal hair loss when you have them removed...
