Why do charter airlines like first choice charge different prices?

anyone tell me why it costs more to fly from bristol than from luton or from cardiff or from gatwick, surely a charter airline would charge the same price.

because each airport charges different prices for landing and taking of at that certain airport so they have to pay different costs and well that price is handed down to you.

Some of it is dependant upon the costs charged by the airport to the airline. But most of it is down to availability and competition. Bristol is a small airport compared to say Gatwick. There are less flights out and therefore less seats. There is also less competition on the routes they fly. All this adds up to a higher price to the customer.

It is not just First Choice that do this and not just to Bristol, they work their prices out to make as much profit as possible. Basically with UK charter companies unless you fly from Gatwick or Manchester you will be paying for the privilege of flying from your local airport.

A pain but the way it is unfortunately. (unless they are struggling to sell the seats in which case they will drop the price!!!)
