I have his email, his name, his phone #, and also, I have my hubby as a bodyguard and three pit bulls. :)
He is a weirdo from Ebay who has threatened my husband and I and also did background checks or something on us, because he somehow knew my middle name and also where we previously lived. He threatened to come here and hurt both of us and also mentioned family in other US States. Should I call the FBI or State Police? I live in the midwest and I cant count on the local sherrif's dept to do anything. He said he is going to TX soon and will be stopping here to give us the thanks we deserve while he is still above the ground. He claims he is terminally ill.
I need some help with this please.

Contact the FBI and/or Postal Inspectors. It is illegal to send threats through the mail. It really does not matter where they come from. However, Since they crossed international lines it would sound as if a charge of Terroristic Threats through the mail would be in order. The FBI can help alot more with that.

You could contact the local police where you live and file for terroristic threat however seeing how this guy is in Canada it becomes interesting. Run all this buy the local police and let them decide if there is enough evidence to do something about him if and when he comes into town. A warrant can always be issued for his arrest with enough evidence however they won't be extraditing him from Canada I would assume. That means he could only be arrested for it if he comes into the US, and really into Texas since the local police probably won't even extradite from other states depending on what evidence you have.

In NYS threats made over a communications device is called "aggrevated harassment" and is a Misd. You can contact Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) or the Police closest to his address. In most cases people who make threats via e-mail never actually go through with it. They feel shielded and brave behind the monitor but are actually cowards. They count on the fact that they can scare you because you cannot see them. They can make themselves into some sort of scary "Monster". Contact your local State Police Agency as well.

By no means do not ignore him.
report him to local authority in Canada.
Report him to FBI
Change your information. move if you have to dont take chances. People are really crazy if they say that like what you describe so take all the precautions you can.
change your Ebay name and all data. Let them know whats going on.
Do you belive in God/? WEAR THE ARMOR OF GOD. The most powerful tool if you are in good standing with Him.
But do report himNOW to the FBI

If you are not comfortable talking to your local police, I would definitely either talk to the FBI or the state police. While this guy may just be a nut, you are better to be safe than sorry.

while you're definitely in concern of your protection because of this prats message, then the regulation has to take your criticism heavily......you've got project getting a restraining order on somebody you won't be able to call......the subsequent time you notice a message like that get a marker pen and write on the board in block letters.......deliver IT ON enormous BOY i would be here AT (9.30 AM) then you particularly and a few witnesses get there an hour early with them interior sight hiding...Notify the police and if he turns up he would be caught............yet wager what..................... I guess the little nerd won't come out to play!!

You should block this man, so he can not send you another email. If he knows your address or phone number, contact the police. Hopefully, you know not to give personal info. to strangers.
