Vitamin E is great for your hair and fingernails.
It makes your nails stronger also.

Getting a good trim every 6-8 weeks makes your hair look much healthier; less split ends and less coarse looking.

Don't over blowdry it or it looks dry and not healthy. A good conditioner makes it look shiny and healthy.

Drink lots of water.

There is nothing that will make your hair grow faster. The average person's hair grows at the rate of 1/2 inch per month, and thats just the way it is. Trimming it does not make your hair grow faster, but it does help to keep your hair healthy while you are growing it. Get a trim of 1/4 inch every 6-8 weeks, eat healthy food and get a sufficient amount of rest. And use a decent shampoo and conditioner.

Unfortunately, nothing will make your hair grow faster. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed. Cutting your hair might appear to make your hair grow faster, but that's just because of the contrast. Shorter hair makes it easier to see the growth. The scientific fact is that human hair goes at the rate of roughly one half inch per month. When the hair comes through the root and becomes visible on your head, it is dead. You can make it appear healthier by making sure your diet is sufficient in protein, not washing it everyday (very drying), stick to twice a week, not perming it and not coloring it. Don't brush it a lot, that causes breakage, just enough to style it. Stay out of the sun or wear a hat. Use the best shampoo and conditioner you can afford and don't load up on the hair "products." Keep your hands and everyone else's hands out of your hair, it causes breakage.

Water, fresh air, good quality food, adequate sleep, a reduction of stress; basically, all the things that are good for general state of health will help your hair. You might also want to consider vitamins. There are special formulations which are targeted for hair growth and restoration.
You also need to engage in activities which cause increased blood flow to the hair folicles. This is the "root" from which the hair developes and grows. Diminished blood supply, and narrowing of the folicle will cause hair loss and thinning. So, activities like scalp massage, brushing your hair while you are bent over at the waste, standing on your head, will help to increase blood flow to the head. Watch out for dizziness.
The last and best tip is to cut your hair. For some strange reason, hair grows faster when it is cut. If length is what you are after, try a small trim. This will thicken the ends and stimulate growth.

A number of vitamins will do that, primarily the B's. There are a number of multi-vitamin brands that are specifically designed (or advertised) as being good for hair growth and health. Check out your local drugstore.

Eat more of vitamins, whenever driving wear a helmet, protect it from dust, don't wear cap for a long time, don't use any one else' comb, use a good Hair Oil and shampoo and protect your hair from dandruff.

And then see them growing.
