like some of the other answers given, i was there first so i have right of way so get in behind me and i dont want you slowing me down. as to the trucker, when i started driving 25 years ago i had the utmost respect for truckers but over the years i have cut off by so many trucks that i refuse to let them in, i dont care how big they are. and im sure they can see (assuming they have the mirrors adjusted properly), i have driven a 24ft straight truck and i have no problem seeing down the side of the truck and beyond. so my theory is they just dont care so why should i.

Do you live in Florida?
That's why I flick mine on AS I'm changing lanes. "Hey, I'm changing lanes whether you like it or not. Deal, sucker." That way if a cop near me is having a bad day, I at least used my signal, and the other driver can't be a di ck.
If you want to be in the fast lane so damn bad, then GO FAST so I don't have to over take you in the right hand lane, I am NOT going to engage in a battle of wills with other drivers. Get OUT of my WAY.

Most likely you're a teenage girl talking on her cell phone. In the meantime you're tailgating this person to no end because you're not paying attention to driving. Then you FINALLY decide to pass and then try to cut the other person off. The other person is ticked at you and rightfully won't let you in. It's as simple as that.

trust me it is not just you i drive a truck all over the country with flashing lights down both sides, and yet people are stupid.they are distracted,or just a@@holes who dont care.bottom line they are just stupid.
