OK…McDonald’s is a new concept and explain to someone how it works…

McDonalds utilizes the concepts of mass production to provide people will hot food cheaply and quickly.

Each employee at McDonald’s restaurant has a specific job in order to churn food out in an assembly line fashion. The assembly line concept allows employees to make a complete meal in under a minute and the high volume allows the employee costs to be spread across many meals, thus keeping prices low.

The food used at all restaurants are made to exacting standards. All food is processed prior to arriving at local restaurants. Consistency in production allows for consistency across restaurants. A Big Mac in California will taste the same as a Big Mac in Maine. Also, consistency in the food items allows the same cooking time each time an item is prepared, thus allowing the “assembly line” in each restaurant to be tuned to operate at peak efficiency.

As stated in the beginning, the end result is a quick, cheap meal that will be the same from restaurant to restaurant.

That’s about the best I can do…

I would describe it as,
"Have you ever eaten something with no nutritional value, that you are actually worse off for eating, and will give you horrible stomach pains? If not you should try this place called McDonalds."
