Taxpayers can figure their refund by using their telephone bills to calculate how much they paid in eligible excise tax between Feb. 28, 2003 and Aug. 1, 2006. Or, taxpayers can claim a standard amount refund based on the number of personal exemptions they've paid ($30 for one exemption, $40 for two, $50 for three and $60 for four or more, according to CCH).
If you claim the actual amount of tax you paid, you'll need to file a Form 8913. Otherwise, you can claim your refund on Form 1040. And taxpayers who aren't required to file a tax return can claim their telephone excise tax refund by using the new Form 1040EZ-T to claim a standard refund.

Not sure about getting one for each line. I think it goes $30 for single, $40 married, $60 married w/children. I think yes about the furnace. I am going to get to claim the purchase of a new energy efficient water heater. Good luck!!

If you claim the standard $30-$60, then that's for the household, not per line. If you want to dig out all your old phone bills, then you can count however many you had.
You might be able to claim a credit for a portion of the purchase of the furnace. See http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=154657,00.html

B may be maximum appropriate. once you disconnect the Telco wiring on the Interface container as B defined, then plug in the telephone. in case you will get dial tone and decide then the challenge is insisde the living house. in case you are able to not get dial tone then the challenge is with the Telco. If the challenge proves to be interior the living house, there are varied issues that could reason it. i will record them in the main trouble-free order. there's a chew of steel in the process a connection at between the jacks or another connection factor. it incredibly is an extremely small piece of cord so which you will could envision intently. while lots of the wires have been linked to the baseboard with staples, between the staples could have pierced the cord and over the years is now shorting out the two wires required by your telephone. generally removing the staple will fix the challenge completely, yet to be fairly beneficial replace the piece of cord. between the wires or connections is able the place there is vibration and the wires have rubbed the insulation off and that they are touching one yet another or a chew of steel. Tape the wires and fasten them so they don't rub on what ever is vibrating. between the relationship containers could are turning out to be water logged or damp and is shorted out by the water, dry out the relationship and tape the wires, and then conceal with silicon. no count if it incredibly is a connection container circulate it so as that it incredibly is now not damp or moist. in case you reside the place the humidity now and back gets severe, and you have a jack in an area it incredibly is dusty, like a basement or storage, or attic, then airborne dirt and mud will convey together in the jack and with severe humidity, it could short out the line. the 1st challenge which you would be conscious is that the line reports static now and back. then it is going to now and back carry the line off hook once you're you elect, finally it is going to short the line out completely and you will not be able to get dial tone.
