The real problem is that there are just too many of us. Of course no politician or religious leaders are going to step up to the plate and tell people not to have children, and who would listen if they did? Global warming won't kill us all, but, I have a feeling that the African continent is going to be hard hit in the next two decades with million upon millions of people dying from draught conditions.
Maybe then everyone else will finally sit up and notice. Just like evrything thing else humans do its takes a disaster to get any action and then its usually too late.

It's not that it's unstoppable, it's that no one has the will to stop it. There's no immediate incentive to save the ice caps, and most of our current politicians will be dead and gone by the time the ocean's over Manhattan. The best way to slow global warming is to decrease energy use and stop burning materials that thicken the atmosphere. There are chemical reactions that absorb a great deal of heat from the environment, cooling their surroundings. If the powers that be had the will to stop this, we'd be talking about our massive trade deficit instead of the end of the world as we know it.

I don't believe that Global warming is unstoppable. Global warming is believed to be caused by greenhouse gases like CO2 which prevent the earth from radiating heat out into space. If we burn less fossil fuels, then the CO2 will be used up by plants(that is their source of carbon, and it is a limiting factor for plant growth), and with lower CO2 levels the earth should start to cool back to normal levels I believe. However it will be very difficult to get every country to significantly reduce carbon emissions, and most likely they will continue to increase as more nations are industralized.

I feel that I wish I was born to a species on a planet far away that wasn't hell bent on destroying itself. I wish people weren't foolish sheep who do anything to stay comfortable.
My suggestion, get a girlfriend, if you've got one, great, and just fcuk while watching the world collapse.
Enjoy!!!

I agree with the above answer...
As in my other question. Until I see some facts it's just power hungry liberals and enviromentalists circle jerking for office.

what they are saying is:
"considering the nature of man, to deny anything that makes his life inconvenient, it is pretty much impossible to reverse the effects."
