Can I loose Weight by using a resistance band with a mix of walking at least 15 minutes a day?

Yes, the walking is really the thing that will do it. That and better choices with food

Hi Angel,

15 minutes of walking won't do you any good. To burn fat (lose weight), you need to keep your heart rate elevated for a minimum of 20 minutes. A 30 minute walk at a fast pace will do this (10 minutes to get your heart rate up, and 20 minutes to keep it there).

As for the resistance bands, they are OK, but they don't give you any density, which is what you want to raise your metabolism. Free weights, such as dumbbells, will do this quickly.

probably. the key to loosing weight is to burn more calories than you take in.

if you were to take in 500 calories less than your maintanence (number of calories you burn in a normal day) calories every week, you would loose 1 lb/week.
