You should be fine. I, however, always back up things that I do not want to lose before anything like this. Doing a restore presumes that something is wrong to make you do the restore in the first place-- and when you start messing around with the inner workings of a computer, things can sometimes get hairy. Blank CDs are cheap, and ya never know...

No you will not be loosing pictures but the registry entries will get changed. So whatever applications and games you have installed after the restore point date might or might not work!

Be sure before you restore.

you will lose anything you have done back to where you choose to restore from. if you restore back to november, then any info you have done between november and now will be gone, including new drivers if new hardware was installed during that time frame...it will be gone you'll want to save things on disk and reinstall program if you restore. and hardware will have to have drivers reinstalled. if useing XP then it's no big deal as it will be automatically done for you..
