so i just got a new girlfriend, just in time for february 14th! shes a sweety, pretty, smart... and a year older than me. what can i get her as a gift for the big day that wont cost me too much?

Here are some ideas I think would be appropriate since you haven't been together long:
Good chocolates
Flowers, but not roses. Go for a nice inexpensive arrangement like carnations.
A leather journal.
Nice lotion or cologne.

that's easy. definitely chocolate and a bouquet. just try to find out from one of her close friends what kind she likes without having to spoil the surprise

teddy bear..a rose.. plan a whole day out, get a basket ..,fill up with goodies..and find a nice place to sit and eat.
or make her a cd with her favourite songs..or songs that remind you of her ..
