I guess, but if you expect it, how can it be unexpected? There have to be more things that are unexpected than those that are expected. So, maybe some of the unexpected can be expected, but the rest of the unexpected will always be unexpected. However, I expect that the expected will always be expected, because if it becomes unexpected it will no longer be expected.
Is that not what you expected?

Well, it can still make sense if you think about it differently. When someone says "expect the unexpected", they aren't telling you to think of something you don't expect to happen. Rather, they are warning you that although everything seems to be going perfectly and you don't see how anything could go wrong, something could. Your question did make me smile though, I like analyzing everything as well.

yes thats exactly right. weird huh? the "unexpected" can never be expected or anticipated because if this was the case the definition of the word would no longer be accurate.
