it sounds like you ahve anxiety and phobias...................... You really need to talk to someone or else they will get worse.. You can't use logic to convicne yourself that you arne't going to die because your emotions are so strong... you need to speak with a psychologist who can hlep you think of exercises or maybe put you on medicine ... Right now just think that everyone dies, and there's nothing youc an do but live your life fully.

I am sorry you are thinking of this. As we know, everyone dies...but being afraid of it is something that you will have to deal with. I don't want to die either. I think the other posters are right when they say you have anxiety. Maybe there is someone you can talk to about this? I don't claim to know what happens when we do die, and I am not a super religious person, but to feel a little bit better about it, you have to start believing in something bigger and better... that death is not the end. If people did not believe in such things, we would all go crazy thinking about it. I had a dream the other night I had died. It was so real to me. I woke up crying so much.... but it was because I was sad that I didn't have the chance to do all the things I wanted to in this lifetime. Live for today. Be grateful, not scared of tomorrow. I know there is more to life than what we know. Death is never an end, but a beginning. Still, if you are very very preoccupied with death or dying, then I think you should seriously talk to someone about it. Keeping your fears and anxiety to yourself is not good or healthy.

The lack of knowledge is what is scaring you. you think about it way too much, and death is inevitable. Just because you don't know what will happen doesn't mean it's going to be bad. Think about this: If you spend your whole life worrying about death, then when you die and look back at your life, you'll realize that you never really lived. Just cross that bridge when you get to it. If you have bad anxiety, try Valerian Root before you run off looking for zanex. The herb relaxes and regulates nerve control. It will help you sleep without drowsy feelings.

I get a kick out of bible thumpers saying to get religious as if that will solve anything. Its just a way for people to be with like minded people and if the bible is your thing, great. If not, that's great too.
I would suggest 2 things you could do which are very easy to do and which are not owned by any particular religion. Regardless of what beliefs you follow, these 2 things will help you get over fear.
1) Sing HU (spoken like Hue or Hugh). This is an ancient love song to God, or whatever you call the supreme diety in your beliefs. You can close your eyes and sing it in a long drawn out breath and fill yourself with love as you sing this song either silently, or out loud. You may notice that when you open your eyes after a few minutes, everything seems brighter.
Did you know that the sound HU was the first creation of the eternal? With the creation of the sound of HU all life was put into motion and all the universes were created. So you see, HU is a very powerful sound. As Soul we ride this sound current throughout the universes of God on our journey home.
2) Realize that fear does not exist in an atmosphere of love. Fill yourself with love until you become a magnet of love. Love does not perish. Who you are, is Soul. Soul is never wronged, hurt, and embodies the qualities of God that are eternal and pure. When you fill yourself with love you become eternal, more God-like. In this state, death is but awakening to a brighter, happier place. At the moment of death, a messenger of God will lead you to where to where you need to be, to where love is. May love guide you out of this fear.
I used to be very bothered about dying when I was young. Now, being depressed and very old, I have trouble not wanting to die because there are many heavens that are very beautiful. So you see, at one time or another we are all afraid of death and at other times we are afraid to live. Only love dissolves the boundaries between life and death. Regardless of our concepts of life and death, we all live on as sparks of divine love like embers from a camp fire rising into the night sky.
Many people do not have the courage you have to ask about death. I have no doubt that because of your courage, that you are already well on your way to removing the fear that is holding you in its grip. In time you will find yourself holding fear in your hand, and letting it go like a spark of divine love.
May the Blessings Be!

Try praying or meditating. The way I see it, I try to live my life either doing things that I enjoy, or helping someone enjoy their life a little more, so at least if I die, it was fun while it lasted.
Try joining the military. I know it sounds crazy, but after you get out of boot camp you'll have a different, more appreciative perspective on life and death, trust me.

Fact of the matter is...were all gonna die. No getting around it. I think if any one had actually figured out how to get around it...we'd of heard about it. With that in mind, live today.
By the way this is a MENTAL HEALTH topic. Not religion. So quit preaching.
If she was looking for Jesus she'd be in Religion.

It sounds like you're suffering with depression. You really need to see a doctor. Depression can spiral out of control and this seems to be the beginning of that.
I say this because you posted it under mental health.
Please go see a doctor.

ITS EASY FOR ME TO SAY BUT JUST MAKE YOUR MIND A " BLANK" AND GO TO SLEEP. DYING IS AS NATURAL AS LIIVING AND AS FAR AS I KNOW IT MAYBE MORE NATURAL. DONT THINK ABOUT DYING, THINK ABOUT LIVING AND DOING. FILL YOUR MIND WITH NICE THINGS THAT YOU DO IN LIFE AND POSITIVE THINGS. REMEMBER THE SECOND A PERSON DIES THEY MAY ENTER A NEW LIFE BETTER THAN THIS. STAY BUSY AND LIVE, AND SLEEP AND GET UP AND HAVE FUN AND LIFT YOUR SPIRITS A NOTCH AND DONT WALLOW IN DEATH . WALLOW IN LIFE ABUNDANTLY AND ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY ETC. THERES AN OLD POEM MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME " WE COME INTO THIS WORLD ALL NAKED AND BARE AND WE GO OUT OF THIS WORLD KNOWING NOT WHERE. " BUT IF WERE ALRIGHT HERE WE'LL BE ALRIGHT THERE " THINK POSITIVE -- RELAX

I understand your fear. However, dying is not an option. Sadly we must all "do"it.
So my suggestion to you would be just to live your life! It is what you DO know about. So get on with life, and don't worry about death. It will come when it comes, and you might be surprized. You might welcome it when it comes if you have LIVED a full life.
So get going! What are you waiting for? Your life stretches before you.
