he paused for a moment then followed up with
"and you have alzheimer's"
"well thank god for that" i replied "at leasti 've not got cancer"

That was one of the worst jokes I have ever heard. Maybe that's because I didn't actually HEAR it... but I'm going to assume that it wouldn't have been funny aloud either.
