I just heard of a story recently that some protesters of the war were spitting on a Vietnam vetern. Why?? I can understand people being against the war and the politicians but these are some of the most brave, intelligent and proud people that you will ever meet.

They are child like in their ways- unable to be adults.
They probably will never have a clue what it is to be an adult either. Their immaturity is a distorted sense of value that they have learned from their parents most likely, hence the meaning - white trash.

Whoa. There was one person who went to Viet Nam and spat on soldiers, calling them "baby killers," and her name is Jane Fonda. I lived through the Viet Nam war, and I know this to be a fact, as it was all over the news. She has recently tried to make a come back with the Iraq war protests, but I will never like any intentions that that particular woman has. And, by the way, I'm a die-hard Liberal. I have no use for her kind though.

Unfortunately, some people who disagree with the war are unable to distinguish between the war and the warrior. In their mind, the soldier IS the war. It's particularly ironic that they would spit on a Vietnam veteran, as many of these people were drafted and had no choice as to whether or not to fight. I don't agree with our present course in Iraq, but I certainly respect the choice of those who make it to go and fight. They are truly putting their money - not to mention their very lives - where their mouth is!

They have so many rights in the US I do not think that they remember what it took to make the US. It was the armed forces that did it. I am in the Air Force and have fought for the people of the US for over 22 years now. I would not change anything about it. It makes us made somtimes. But on the other hand that is what we fight for.

Actually I heard that last week it was a young military man who lost his leg was spit on. When he was asked if he spit back he said no. He, I think, was a gentleman. The spitters I believe should be ashamed of themselves. These are the kind of people I don't want making decisions for me because they lack class and intelligence. Isn't it hypocritical to say they don't want war, but they have no problem insulting or doing things against their fellow countrymen?

Because they are liberals who do not understand that those men and women who go to foreign shores to fight and die do it to protect the rights and freedoms of the idiots who disrespect them right here at home. They are the last word in ungrateful slobs. Would it be that these freedom-haters be put down in the countries they seem to most love and be forced to live under the iron fist of Communism and experience all the fear that is life under a brutal dictator who has the power of your life or death at his whim. I'll bet they change their tune right quick, huh?

I think it is because they realize how great these men and women are and they could not even measure up to the standards set by these heroes. So rather than build themselves up they tear others down like a childish schoolyard loseres they are..

Because they are ignorant, scared, and/or Anti-American. Most have no desire to serve their country, never have, nor ever will, but will be the first to expect and often demand of their country and government rights and liberties that someone else died for.

GOD BLESS OUR BRAVE TROOPS, THE PRESIDENT, AND THE USA!!

because they can't grasp the reason for joing when it could cost us our lives. They are more thinkers that doers, and the ones who join the armed forces stump them on that question, and they don't like it. The Morons!!!

Because they don't agree with the military, people that join, or how it's used, so they disrespect them, rather than just voice their opinion to them, or the proper government officials
