I've always heard that they are not good to go through. That they do not take care of the problem. You have to take control. If the old cellphone contract is giving you problems you can get on line with the credit report website and dispute it or try to find out why it is taking so long. You can also call your credit card company to ask for a lower interest rate, which they should be able to lower it a little because their is a lot of competition out there. Always remember to pay more than the minimum required payment, if you can, or else it will take you a long time to get out of debt. Also if you can pay off your lower amount ones first, it will help you feel the progress you are making to keep you going towards the bigger debts.

There is nothing they can legally do that you can't do yourself. Any information that is correctly reported on your credit report would only be removed by unethical, if not illegal, means. If there is incorrect information in your file, you can request it to be removed yourself.
The best thing to do is keep paying your bills on time and limit how many new accounts you open or apply for. Every time you apply for a new charge account or loan, an inquiry is done on your credit report, causing your score to go down whether you are approved or not.

You need to check out this video on how to increase your credit score by using a 100% legal loophole. Here is the video URL: http://www.creditscoresecret.org
I was able to get to 595 from 489 in just one day and from 489 to 748 in just a few week; that's pretty fast in my book. Good luck!

Bad credit can frustrate your efforts at getting a credit. Hence ensure you keep your credit report clean. If there are any errors in the report, undertake credit repair to clear out any errors. This can be tiring and frustrating, but highly rewarding. Though law recognizes and protects your rights, it is your duty to remove any anomalies

Only way to get score raised is to get rid of debt. You need consolidate all your debts into one payment and keep all payments ontime.
