I was looking for some new nursing bras and all the models have flat stomachs and perfectly toned abs. I'm sure SOME nursing moms may be this lucky (or this hard working at their figure) but what about the other 99%? These women all looked like they're never had a baby!

typo....I meant to write "they've" not "they're"

They want you to actually think that you will look like that when you wear their bra - face it, at least half of the consumer population is that gullible. We are a society that dwells on and criticizes imperfections and many people cannot (or will not) look beyond them. We need to look beyond the imperfections because those are what enhances us as individuals.
Yes, I would love to see a real mommy's body modeling clothes - Maybe not an over-flowing figure like mine but the average mom with the belly bulge that will never go away and the inevitable stretch marks (a c-sec scar or two would help, too). I'm sure that would reflect the majority of real moms everywhere.
Diet and exercise? Yeah, that helps but it does not guarantee that pre-baby body. I have friends that do all that but have come to accept that the kangaroo pouch and stretch marks are there to stay (unlees surgery is an option).

To tell you the truth I'm a model and well I'm 7 weeks pregnant and the jobs they have for pregnant models is the clothes. Now the models you are seeing are just models. They have never been pregnant and if they have they had to work off all that baby fat just so they can model like that. But 1% of pregnant woman get blessed with a tiny stomach when they give birth.

why do people care so much about us thin people...

would you rather look at unattractive fat people modeling the clothes you wear?

i know that if i wanted to buy some food I wouldn't look to what it ends up in at the toilet.

besides which it's advertising. they are selling a product that they make so you can use. in our free market (hoping it stays free) if you want an item and they have an item you buy their item. if you don't like it don't buy it. if enough people don't buy it either nobody will sell the item or eventually someone will get smart and change so the people will start buying it again.

buying the bra from the skinny people makes it worse.

then again they make a product you need so it's sort of a catch-22. in order for you to get what you want you must stop buying it, in order for them to change you have to stop buying it but really in order for them to change they will need you to keep buying otherwise they go bankrupt...

Because none of those models have ever had a child stretch out their bodies and have never had the breasts latched onto or bitten by a baby.

Does that suck or what?
Thanks for spanking us when we are down....I know exactly what you mean and it really pissed me off...can I say pissed?...it is ridiculous...these must be the chicks who had gained 10 pounds and had 10 pound babes...I hear ya girl...don't let it get to you...they are just plain stupid...better to be healthy during this time than folding to some unattainable goal that the media and fashion world would have us believe...grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

well, probably because putting a "normal woman" would be "bad marketing". Would you want to really look and study something if it was on an unattractive person? That is probably what the marketing people are thinking anyway....I really dont want to look at a post-pardum's ladies' saggy belly myself....

Yah, that concept is a bit bizarre, but your question made me smile. So thanks for that. They are models, and I guess their bozooms fill out the cups nicely. I have seen some pregnant models, though, and they still look pretty good--air brushing.

When is the last time your Taco Bell or Burger King food looked like it does in the commercials - or on the menu, for that matter...think about it...

easy. because sadly, we live in a world that markets a reinforcing image of women who are all stick skinny

if we saw a girl with a little more curves, all of a sudden its unattractive.

sadly, that magazine is just following the rest of them.

there is NOTHING wrong with curves =)

sometimes women can have complications with their births... maybe a still birth... so all of the milk is still in their breasts... most women pump the milk from their breasts, but some keep it in for a small period of time.. and put in applications for modeling... people are always looking for women to model nursing bra's so..

hope that helps...
