There are six of us kids in my family, and it seems three of them are screw ups...they'll figure it out one day, no one is perfect. I still love them for all their wild and quirky ways...my family would be boring if they were all average like me.

Not always. My philosophy is, the child is only the byproduct of their parents. They only learn and know what their parents teach them. And problems among children usually start when they are young. If they don't have good habits or a good environment, then of course the children are gonna end up messed up. In any event, not ALL families are like that. Though there is an over abundance of children heading down the wrong path, i think most of them are genuinely nice people who just need a little guidance in their life.

You are preaching to the choir here. I have one of the most dysfunctional families ever.I have a brother with a genius I.Q. who happens to be bi-polar, alcoholic, and a drug addict. Been arrested atleast 5 times. He emailed me a suicide note. Tried to commit suicide about 4 times. After being put in a mental hospital after the last attempted suicide, he managed to escape the place and was gone for about 5 days. He's had problems since he was 14 or so and will be 38 this year. There's more to the drama of my life, but I here ya. I don't know what it is. I wonder if it's in the genes, atmosphere, or the freakin food. I tell ya, there is atleast one in every family. There happens to be 2 in mine.

No child is perfect. Nobody is perfect. You should be thankful for your child and keep them in prayer. Life is hard and it's a blessing that there steal here. Continue to be a good role model and don't continue to judge them. Children can love and appreciate their parents when they don't give up on them. Sit down and talk with them instead. Look at them for who they could be , not who they're not .

God Bless

Sounds like the "black sheep" syndrome. I don't know a family that doesn't have one either. I think it's the personality of that person. It could also just be the "spoiled brat" syndrome also. Given all they wanted in life and then as an adult, didn't know how to be a go-getter and achieve things on their own.

that's not true. i have 2 older brothers and all of us are fine. know when we was younger i was the big screw up, always in trouble, i was the big disappointment, anything that they heard that i done never put it past them they never asked since they didn't want to know. but i wouldn't say u stay that way. i was the black sheep then and still is and i like it. it just grows on u. i just shocked everyone on the kind of person i turned out to be. I'm still wild but chilled out to a point but cooled it off some i guess its call i grew up. but i know what u mean!

That's not true in my family. Do you know all the families in the world? Probably not, stop making judgements.

I dont know. In my family its my youngest brother. In my mother's, it is her, and in my father, it is his. But it probably has something to do with genetic make-up (like ADHD, etc.)
