GO FOR IT. These might even work for Windows Vista.
I have gotten some old DOS programs to work with Windows XP... but have not tried them on Vista yet. WHO KNOWS, these really old games might out-live Microsoft.
Oddly enough, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 quits after you install Internet Explorer 7; so it probably won't work with Windows Vista either.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

XP has a compatibility mode which may work; or
You could use VMware to create a virtual Windows 95/98 enviroment or
You can create a "dual boot" system with Windows 95/98 in the other partition.
Good luck.

that is an particularly person-friendly concern with xp computers, whether that is an older form with a small processor like an intel celeron-P4 then your ultimate guess is to acquire a clean working equipment or purchase an exterior discpersistent and an xp abode version disc off ebay or something. an excellent working equipment for an older laptop in case you do no longer do any gaming which includes call of duty or crysis is ubuntu 4.0, its a linux based os yet greater like the applying on the apple macs, that is going to greater healthful onto a usb memory pen approximately 4gb and could boot from startup. you will might desire to plug it in whilst grew to become off, initiate the laptop and enter your bios (generally F2) until now the emblem reveal screen. flow as nicely up or something the place you may pick the boot gadget and alter the 1st boot gadget to the usb stick and the 2nd on your tensepersistent (could be community disc C) you may the set up ubuntu from bootup, the comparable would be a risk in case you employ an exterior dvdpersistent and xp. in case you employ the usb technique make sure that the only element on that is ubuntu.

win 95/98 games should work using compatibility mode.
As to older DOS games, I doubt it! (That is one of the reasons why I still have an older DOS machine, as well as newer systems!!)
Anybody for Pole Position?
