I gave birth to my daughter back in August 2006, I am not breast feeding and have not gotten my period yet. I am not having sex so there is zero chance i am pregnant. Is that normal? If so how long could it be until i get my period?

It's difficult to tell when you'll get your period back. I'm so damn regular i got mine back about two weeks after i stopped breast feeding. I only breast fed for about 2 months. I also had my daughter in August 2006 the third to be exact. I had to go on a mild pill to regulate my cycle coz i didn't stop bleeding. I'd get my period it would last 7-8 days then it would stop for about 2-3 days and then i would start again.

Ask your Dr for a good contraceptive that will naturally regulate your cycle. I'm on the pill called Mirelle don't know where you stay but I'm in South Africa and that's what my GP put me on.

good luck hope and congrats on your little girl

I would ask your doctor, but I wouldn't fret. I didn't get my period for about 4 months after the initial bleeding was over with both of my children. Good Luck! :)

This seems to me to be an excessive length of time for your menstrual cycle to have failed to re-establish itself. I would definitely say it's time to consult your ob/gyn.
