Try CBT and NLP.
If you dont know what they are, and you probably dont, google them. Much more informative than me telling you what they are here.
It seems from your post that despite you taking medication many of your symptoms dont go away.(correct me if I'm wrong)
This is because meds dont "cure" people with these problems. They are a temporary solution so that your problem doesnt interfere with your daily life. There is a notion that PA's are caused by chemical imbalances within the brain, but no one has proven yet that these "chemical imbalances" are indeed a cause and not the effect.
I believe(and this is purely IMHO) that the reason is both psychological and organic. One thing is interconnected with each other, and if you treat only one thing the other will keep reemerging. Therefore you need to try therapy and natural supplements. Just make sure to ask your doctor about this because some supplements can interfere with medication.

Well, I take that medication and it really helps my anxiety. Maybe your thinking to much about having a panic attack. However when you feel the syptoms coming on, take the medicine. Maybe you need a higher dosage. Sometimes you can get your dosage higher or lowered as needed. You know your body and you need to decide what is the best time to take your medicine--tell your doctor of couse of your panic cycles and maybe you can adjust the time you take it. To answer your questions about other techniques, you can focus on what you are doing or thinking right before that feeling comes on. For instance, are you drinking a lot of caffeine? Does it happen when you drive or go somewhere with someone? Does it happen when you are alone? Are these occuring certain times of the day or a certain day in particular? Write some of those things down to see if there is a pattern. If you worry too much about having a panic attack, you may be bringing it on with those stimulating thoughts of past experiences of those. I am not saying it is your fault at all, but when I think of having one, sometimes it makes it worse. I have noticed that when I feel one maybe coming on, I rub my neck and close my eyes. That really seems to help. I went to a hospital once because it was so bad that I thought it was a heart problem and the doctor told me to lower my caffeine intake drastically and she told me to rub my neck. That does seem to work for me. You should try that. Also, exercise is good. I hope this helps.

Been there, done that, only with Paxil. It usually takes about two weeks to a month for the medication to start having an effect; after that you should feel some improvement. If not, or if you feel the symptoms getting worse, see your doctor.
In the meantime, try the following:
1) Get more exercise. A good brisk walk early in the morning does wonders.
2) Practice deep breathing. Breathe in while counting slowly to 5, then exhale to the same count. About 10 times should do it.
3) Any stressful situation that -can- be avoided, should be.
4) Spend time with people who love you and have fun with them. Laughter is good medicine all by itself.
Hope this helps.

I my self have fought a long battle with many mental disorders , I was around 21 when they started and what triggered it are a cluster of inncodents that are from my child hood , any way , i went to so many doctors and hospitals and wards to try to find out what was wrong with me , I was petrefied with the fear of death , and i say tottaly panic, I made doctors do EKG and all kinds of test , there was never nothing wrong! and i knew this was wrong ,In my case , i had severe panic , turned into agoraphobia , and come to find out that it all danced around the fact that i had major depression, I learned that the two are usuallu united , either the depression creates the panic or the panic triggers the depression, i went to many many doctors therapist and so many meds that i finally told them the meds made me feel worse , i already felt as i was gonna die , the side affects of the med's was just not exceptable , i prayed for god to not let me wake up at times , and when he did awake me , i would start crying immediately , I can tell you this , it is a REAL chemical inbalance and i am not cured but i have control of it , instead of it controlling me , I was tired , and god knew it , and he also knew this , i had planned for this to be the LAST doctor i would ever see .i was 29 and totally usless, yea , my sisters and family said to just get up and do this and that , i could only look at them and tell them to get out of my face , i was not gonna try to explain what i did not understand to a bunch of azz's , that thought i was just lazy ! How can you get up when you feel death , , I know a lot of people have no idea the pain people go through , and then we have to put up with their lack of knowledge, they are merciless and need to go visit oz, I did do some self help , i studied diferrent things , but you got to be attracted to what you are reading fast or you will put it down.I have a lot of methods and appraoches that i used , even with my doctor and meds , I have had maybe 1 major panic attack in4 yrs, and that my friends is a miracle for me if you think you want to ask me more just write me , i will be more then glad to help , I KNOW this demon is real , ANd i know it can be caged , with time and maybe just one believer , Im here

these are genarally symptioms of a chemical imbalance due to the "diet",emphatically so.you won,t hear this from the run of the mill md,s,because they believe only drugs can solve all of our ills...look at the health of people today after decades of their presc drugs and make your own assumptions.you need to change your diet 100% and get off the simple carbs and sugar and additive laden foods out there that you probably eat everyday.you more than likely have a fungal overload going on within, due to your diet(sugar and sugar foods, simple carbs),,,believe it or not dear, but it,s a hard fact and a serious one also to a lot of people if they don,t change what/how they eat on a daily basis.i know something about anxiety etc,personally,ok..research it.you have to read, learn, heal yourself and eat your way to health because you can,it,s up to you though...

i agree with vall above. power of positive thinking. there's this thing called "structured thinking". there is an easy way to learn these techniques, yoga. meditation. those drugs will only mess you up. you become dependent on them. stay on them and you will be on them for life, providing income and benifits not for yourself but a string of councelor, therapists, doctors and drug companies. this whole anxiety thing is a relatively new scam perpetrated on americans.

I had them for many years. I have learned its not going to kill you. Don't go with it. Its only feelings. Tell it its not going to win this time. Try things to get your mind off it. Take deep breaths. And keep telling yourself its only feelings.
