I do not know of any adverse effects if this is taken by an adult, over 35, to improve retention of facts and recall (memory) AND it is taken in the correct dosage, preferably with an okay by a neurologist or other physician who is swift.
A common error some people make is to believe that IF a little bit of something is GOOD, a LOT of it will be VERY GOOD. That is NOT TRUE for just about everything, including chocolate ice cream.
As to the exact dosage, I do not recall, but you can Google "phosphatidyllserine pharmacology" and/or just the first word, also the first word plus "supplement." to find out more info.
This IS NOT an UNNATURAL substance.
But, again, even natural substances and supplements can be overdone. In some cases they could aggravate an existing condition or conflict with other prescription meds.
Hence, you should read ALL very carefully and also check out what your physician has to say. He may not carry all that info in his head, nevertheless, he is MUCH BETTER qualified to check it out for you, if given some time to investigate and make a considered response.
I am not a physician. I did post nutrition hints online once, that is how I learned a little bit about this supplement.
If you use it, stick to the recommended dosage.
It is of value to those over 40 mostly. May be a waste, or dangerous for people under 35, possibly dangerous for teenagers or children. Ask your doc.
