Hi Rebecca...consider either Petfinder http://www.petfinder.com or your local Michigan Craigslist http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/mi (locate the closest city and then under the Community section locate the subsection "pets" to begin your search.) People post ads every minute on Craigslist daily so be sure to check back frequently.

Look online for the animal shelter websites. That's where i found my new kitten that I got last weekend. I got her in Iron Mountain MI. They have 6 month old kittens, and baby baby kittens not up for adoption yet. But, most of the animal shelter websites have pictures of who they have up for adoption.

Humane Societies have lots of kittens available.... Pet Smart has kittens. Spring time is a good time for kittens.... this time of the year you wont find a lot of kittens.

Pet finder is good but I got all of mine from Action for Animals in Pet smart. They were only $50 each with ALL of their shots and already spayed and neutered. Also you get a cardboard carrier and a book with awesome coupons and information. If you don't have a petsmart then look through shelters. They usually keep shots and things up to date and some even microchip them.
