Kerotosis Pilaris, the red bumpy things on your skin. I have them on my upper arms and have been told although there is no cure certain products can be used which reduce the redness/bumps. Glycolic acid has been recommended but am not sure of any product names. DCL AHA 20 has also shown results with some people but dont think this is even stocked in Australia. If anyone else suffers from this, what do you use and how effective is it?Its driving me crazy, i just want to reduce it somehow so any feedback is much appreciated.

Check out the Help for KP website below. The link is to the treatment options page. I've had KP all my life, but only found out what it was within the last year (on Yahoo Answers, in fact). I had some luck with Neutrogena's Skin Smoothing Body Lotion, but they discontinued it. I'm now trying Eucerin Plus (NOT the regular Eucerin - only the Plus contains alpha hydroxy acid), but I just started (and I'm not so good at using it consistently), so I can't tell you how well it works. Whatever you use, be sure to also use sunscreen because many of the treatments make your skin more susceptible to sunburn.

You can use a buffing pad or a loofa on the areas to remove the skin. Then use an oil free lotion that has AHA in it. or you can do what I do. Mix honey, brown sugar, lemon juice into a gritty paste then rub it into the areas let sit for a bit then rinse.Use each time you shower.
