I guess I do need to be more assertive, and waiting a while longer is probably smart. I want to know that someone likes me though, not just hope someone will. Is it just me, or do most ppl feel that way?

If you don't like yourself, most assuradely it will come across to others and they may not like you. Start "seeing" yourself differently. That you are unique, a miracle creation and that you are worthy to love yourself and thus have others love you. If someone inparticular rejects you, it is now their problem not yours. Hold your head up!

I think it is a very good idea to make 2 lists--Fold a paper in half longwise and on one side list the things that you think are desirable in the person you would like to marry. On the other side list the things you do not want in the person you will marry. Then add to both lists as you think of things. This brings dating to a whole other level as you search for the perfect person for you. It also will give you more insight and enable you to make good decisions concerning the girls you want as friends.

Pete, you gotta be more confident. If you worry about being shot down then, your never going to get a yes answer. Just be yourself and dont expect anything bad. Nothing is bad unless you make it that way. A yes is good and so is a no. Just keep plugging away and dont give up. Dont get freaked out over a no and start believing that everyone is going to say no. Yes means good and so does no. No means they arent ready for Pete. Now get out there and do your stuff..

Relationship and ppl of the opposite gender, are always intimidtating....but i wouldnt let that stop you from being you.
if your a good guy, lead a good life, and carry yourself with respect, then you will find that right girl for you...sometimes it will take a while before the right person comes along, but believe me, she is coming... i think that you should keep on doing what your doing...dont worry about what others think, you will never truly please someone, if you are not pleased with yourself.
have some confidence in the great guy that you are...like i said, if you lead a good life, then leave the rest in cupid's hands...love wiill find you, dont go looking for it.

Well, if i were you i would focus on making some awesome friendships with girls. You can go out on "dates" and just hang out with them with no pressure. Eventually you will find one that really appeals to you. There IS someone for everyone...sometimes it is just hard to locate them.
