My baby had surgery for the ear tubes and one week later and by first time, eczema showed up on his skin. I read that eczema can be due to an inmunological response and I'm wondering if the surgery itself triggered something in his inmune system?

Yes it is highly possible that he had a reaction to the anesthesia. A lot of medicines have man-made chemicals in them (just as household cleaning products and bath and body products do). Some people, especially young children, can have hyper-sensitivity to these type of chemicals. You should strive to eliminate his contact with chemical based product, and try to treat his eczema with a all natural skin cream. Renew is an awsome cream for eczema. My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

I wonder where the eczema is. Perhaps it was due to some sort of contact dermatitis. Maybe they used something to hold his head still during the process which irritated his skin. But you say that it developed a week later. I don't know, it just seems like more of a contact thing especially if it is around his head or neck.

Yes, it's possible. Eczema is generally a reaction to something. It is often developed as an allergy develops or something. It can be either an internal or an external allergy. Start with a good baby lotion and if it worsens or appears to bother him talk to his doctor.
