My husband had a lesion on his leg for a couple of weeks and it looked like ringworm but now it looks like a red dry skin patch. Just now he was gettin ready for a shower and he noticed others like the one on his leg on the trunk of his body his back and legs. He will go to the doctor tomorrow but I just wanted some input on what it could be! Could you have ringworm on more than one part of the body at the same time or is it more likely eczema. He really only uses a bar of soap when he showers and never uses lotion. Don't know that it really matters but he is 30yrs old

Never fear, after ringworm is healed and no longer contagious, the skin turns red and the skin is flaky. Also, You rarely can see one ringworm spot all alone, more often than not, you get little spots all over. If you find any spots that are not flaky, flat, and or red, then put that spot under a black light. If the spots glow green, then it's ringworm. Oh, and you will definately notice if it glows green under the black light- if it is ringworm it will be BRIGHT! Any other little, faded green spots are most likely hair, little tiny specks of ringworm, E.T.C.

Still go to the doctor, though. If it is simply ringworm, then the doctor will give you an antifungal creme to put on the spots, or, if it turns out to be something more serious, than the doctor can treat that, too.

You can have ringworm in different parts of the body. You can get this from using the same towel over & over again. Also, the soap could have caused this too. It's better to use body wash. He may have ringworm but since it's winter time, dry skin can occur. So, it may be drier now because of it. And, since he doesn't use lotion, it just got irritated. For now, I would but hydrocortisone. I had something similar & went away w/ over-the-counter hydrocortisone.

It could be lots of things, and seeing a doctor is a good idea.
Here is another thing to consider:
Pityriasis Rosea
