Testing? As in setting them up to scew up? I always allowed them all the rope they wanted and took everything they said with a grain of salt. Eventually they will hang themselves. When you come across one that is all they say they are, that's when you can get serious. Be honest with them.
Why go to all the trouble of "testing" when all you need to do is wait? (Sorry guys. I know there are good ones out there and they will pass with flying colors.

if u test him and he finds out when hes dunn nuthin rong,it could jeopardise ur relationship and maybe ur friendship.
games are a nasty thing to play when sum1s emotions are involved.

Trust is a major requirement for a good relationship. If you have trouble trusting then you should help yourself. If you have concerns talk to him, be open ... if you have trouble talking then write it down then a discussion will develop.
