Is there any way to have a good Chicago style hot dog in a slow cooker?l?

We are having a super bowl party and would like to cook the hot dogs ahead of time. Not sure if we need to add water to the slow cooker or what the best plan of attack would be.v HELP!!!!!!

I used to love chicago hot dogs. Superdawg is the best, but now I'm vegetarian and live in Fl. Anyway, the slow cooker should be ok and yes add water. The street vendor of NY and chicago keep theirs in water and keep the buns hot and steamy. Dont forget the peppers. Go BEARS!!!!!

Nitrates. you concern suitable to the nitrates. Niacin is a B-diet. Nitrates on the different hand may well be risky and particular anybody eating 8 warm canines with little else isn't precisely heatlhy. yet as long as over all she's eating a balanced eating recurring each little thing could be ok.

Yes, add a small amount of water to bottom of crock to steam them, like maybe a quarter cup. Make sure they are vienna beef style

we usually heat the whole package of hot dogs in the microwave for just a minute or so to give them a head start and then put them in the crock pot in a waterbath. They should be just fine. Just make sure you don't forget to put out tongs to fish them out of the water and all the Chicago fixin's
