Like everyone else said the higher the better. 1366x768 is going to be better vertical resolution. 1024x768 is the minimum needed for HD. the last number is what determines the resolution advertised. i.e. 1020x768 is 720p resolution but 1366x768 is also 720p but with better vertical resolution. also someone stated earlier that 1920x1080 is a resolution of 1080i. that is not true the resolutions of 720p and 1080i are virtually the same. the Human Eye literally cannot distinguish the difference between 720Progressive lines of resolution and 1080 Interlaced. what that person was talking about was 1080p. this is something new 1920x1080 is currently the best resolution available. but the only things that can send a 1080p signal are Blu-Ray disc players and computers through Firewire. All HD-DVD movies are recorded in 1080P but current HD-DVD players are not equipped to play in 1080p. hope this helped

The more the better. 1366x768 meets minimum HD specs (1280x720), but 1024x768 doesn't. However, many 1024x768 plasma TVs have been sold as HDTV. Technically one could argue that doing that is deceptive, but in fact very few CRT TVs (direct view and projection) could do that well, and they were sold as HDTV. The sets would accept 1080i (1920x1080) and feed it to the picture tube, but what is not generally known is that there are no consumer-level CRTs that could actually display that resolution. So technically, they were also deceptive.
