need help with teeth?

i heard that if you brush your teeth in baking soda it will make them whiter is this true adn what do you use to whiten your teeth if possiable tell me a house hold product you could use...

Baking soda whitens your teeth because it is highly abrasive and scrapes off any discoration from the surface of your teeth. An ADA approved whitening toothpaste is best.

My dad used the same thing and it must be true because arm and hammer makes a baking soda toothpaste.
