There is no similarity. The Holy Ghost, otherwise known as the Holy Spirit, is God, and is very real. Make believe "ghosts" are supposedly the spirits of deceased human beings. However, the spirits of deceased human beings are in heaven or hell, not wandering around old farmhouses rattling chains and throwing dishes.

The Holy Spirit isn't A Ghost. he's a Spirit. A Ghost is meant to Be related To This Mortal Realm, Haunting human beings Or inflicting Havoc. and can in basic terms Be in one place. The Holy Spirit does not hang-out human beings And Is everywhere at as quickly as. So, A Ghost via that is Definition does not Mesh nicely With The Holy Spirit.

the Holy GHOST (not plural) is God, one of the three persons of the Trinity.

a "ghost" is really
1) a physical halucination
2) the result of the occult (an OBE, witchcraft, voodoo)

a ghost by human standards is the spirit of the deceased. but a human spirit returns to God when a person dies. the soul [the actual part that contains the mind, will and emotions (the brain is only the physical link for your soul)] goes to Heaven or hell.

I doubt you could plead that demons are ghosts, as they are spirits, and spirits cannot actually interact physically. they need a body.

Yes...and another word for ghost is spirit. I believe in the Holy Spirit, (singular) the third part of God. I also believe in demonic spirits that torment people and try to push Satans cause using fear. Some people call them ghosts...I call them demons.

Not necessarily. "Holy Ghost" is actually a mistranslation. In the 1950's and 60's, the 2nd Vatican Council switched it back to its original name: Holy Spirit.

good question; according to the bible when we die we go straight to heaven;not hang out here on earth. I think ghosts are spirits or angels.

I don't believe in either. I don't know if that goes the other way or not.
