I'm sitting in the basement of the house(thats where the computer is) and i thought i heard people upstairs,(my house kinda freaks me out at times) so i walk up there to see if anyones up there and my brother is here. Why wouldn't he have told me he was here?

Why wouldn't anybody*not just my brother* not tell someone they are home? Especially if the house is freaky?

i had the music up loud enough, if he didn't through the garage door, he would have known someone was home, and if he came through the garage door, he would have saw the basement light was on.*we never leave either on if nobody is home*

He just didn't think that it mattered. He probably isn't freaked out by the house and didn't think about anyone else being.

People just come into the home without announcing they are here, not because they are trying to freak you out, but probably because they are lazy. The same with not telling someone you are leaving. I think you need to let someone know when you leave/arrive.

B/c people in general can be rude. Where I work, I always let people know when I am leaving for lunch or leaving for the day. But most of the people who work in my department do not do that.

i agree, even in my own home i usually knock before entering, as not to surprise other person.
