For the love of God don't use pick up lines, start off with a kid's joke that you heard from your kid's or you're nieces and nephews and shortly after tell her that's were you heard the joke. She'll think you have an interest in children and women find that appealing.

For a date? My husband showed up for our 1st date with a small container of pepper spray so I'd feel better. Verbal, its great to ask off the wall questions like "what is your biggest fear" or "What cartoon character do you feel you represent most and why". Silly things to change the mood.

the human knot!! -- each person in the group crosses their own arms then grabs hands with 2 other people in the group... then the group has to work together and untangle themselves without letting go of each other's hands (the group ends up in a circle)
