TODAY WAS A NIGHTMARE i HIT A DOG ON THE WAY TO WORK...iT JUMPED INFRONT OF ME..I SWIRVED AND HIT THE DOG...IT MADE A SICK THUD NOISE ON MY CAR....
I rushed to work called 911...they connected me to the animal society..and they went to pick the dog up...I told some of my co workers...and it was the joke of the day....knowbody really cared...most said it was just a dog....I FEEL SOOO BAD...AND I SEE THE WORLD JUST DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN!!! MAY THAT SWEET DOG REST IN PEACE.

Well, I would feel awful too, and your co-workers are just being a bunch of jerks to be laughing at you like that. But then, it could be due to groupthink, i.e. one or two think it's funny and the rest follow suit.
Anyway, don't blame yourself too much. Accidents do happen and it's not entirely your fault.

Man, your co-workers are jerks. I'd feel awful if I hit any kind of animal with my car. Making a joke out of something like that is horrible. It's definitely not funny in the least bit.

Most people do not find hitting a dog a joke. I do not either. I'm quite disgusted that they laughed at a dog's death.

I've never heard of anyone thinking such a tragic event to be any kind of joke. My heart aches for the dog as well as the family who lost it.

it was not your fault just an unfortunate thing that happened i dont know if animals have souls but if they do you will see the dog in heaven

i agree with chelsea....they are heartless jerks. my dog is like my child. my guess is not one of them has a pet they care about or they would understand how you feel.
