Planning a Christmas trip to Saint Martin on the french side next Dec. with my hubby and four teenage daughters (help!) Need info on beach front hotels. Not too expensive and not a fleabag either.

Try priceline and bid for a hotel. I'm sure any hotel on St. Martin will be beautiful. BUT...are you ready for your daughters to take it all off on their nude beaches? I know St. Martin sounds wonderful and it is, but as for beauty, some of the other islands around there are prettier, and although they don't have casinos (if that's one on your list of preferences) I'd look for another island, or even a cruise. Cruises will cost less and the kids will have more fun, plus they won't be too far away when they want to take off at night on board ship. Safer too. Just a thought...but make sure you buy you're own snorkel equipment so you won't have to rent any that someone else has used. It'll be worth the extra $200 you'll spend here instead of $30 a head for a snorkel adventure. Wish you the best!
