I ran a yellow light which turned red half way through and was pulled over my a cop within the next few seconds. I have never been pulled over before and was very polite and let off with a warning after he lectured me on the weather conditions and how it's important to drive safely in the winter. Is there a way that my parents will find out or that points will be added to my license for just receiving a warning?

No, you do not get any points taken away. Also, it does NOT show on your driving record. However, it will be catalogued and if you get pulled over again you are more likely to be ticketed. It can be kept on file for up to a year, but again, will NOT be on your driving record.

Nope. If he didn't give you a citation you didn't get a ticket and there is nothing that will go on your record. But, really, slow down and you wouldn't have to worry about running a yellowish-red light in the first place. I hope not getting a ticket doesn't mean you will keep driving through red lights.

no I think that you are fine and they will not find out. Are they really that strict that if you make one little mistake they will freak out. Everyone messes up once in awhile. Don't worry my husband got a warning and we never heard another thing about it.

no, if you didnt get a copy of a violation ticket, dont worry about it.
If it was a written warning and you get another violation in a certain time period, they can give you a ticket at that time.
