I am a diest, and it is completly natural. I was always a deits, i just never knew it had a name, and I bet that their are a whole bunch of people out there who would say they were deist if they knew the had the choice. It is just so natural, a belife that is unique to you and only you.
You can ask 100 deist and you will get 100 different meanings. Some pray and belive in an after life, some dont have any real feleings towards god other than a creator of cells. To each his own.

I don't really think about them at all.
Now if your question is what do I think about DEISM, then I would tell you that I briefly was a deist on my road from Christianity to atheism.
But what is the point of believing a God who has no involvement with his creation? Atheism is less work.

Very smart spiritual people. Most of our Founding Fathers were deists. (Jefferson, Paine, Jackson, et al.)

I find it rational although I disagree with it.
They look at the universe and say that it implies a creator. They pretty much buy the Intelligent Design argument. But they also do not buy that any of the established religions have the answers they think they have.

I have no problem with the philosophy.
It does raise the question why even think of a God if that God created everything and then does nothing. If this God is going to do nothing why should anyone give this God a second thought?

Thomas Paine was a Deist.
I think they're confused about some things, but overall they're okay.
