In answering a question in this forum would you quote the bible or would you reference and use your own...?

I would use my own language to explain what I have learned in the 'big university'. (I have a degree in religious studies.) I don't need to quote the bible.

Quotes are rarely useful unless the person hearing them has some context from where they came. Especially scripture.

I can do either. Depends on the situation.
